Yorkshire software developer increases revenue in 10th anniversary year

A Wakefield-based software development firm has reported its highest ever turnover and profit in its’ 10th anniversary year.

Schedule it, founded by developer Mark Ballance in 2010, achieved a double-digit increase in turnover last year compared with 2018/9, with profit up by over a third. The company has seen rapid growth in the past decade and revenue has doubled in the space of just the past three years.

Schedule it provides resource management software that enables companies around the world to reduce costs and save time. Mark Ballance, managing director of Schedule it said: “The past few years have seen fantastic growth in our business, driven by new clients. Every time we welcome a major global brand like IBM, Microsoft or Shell on board or receive enquiries from as far away as Australia or Brazil is so rewarding. But I am equally passionate about helping and working with many start-ups and mid-size businesses right here in Yorkshire.

Schedule it is working to support clients in Yorkshire and beyond through the COVID-19 situation. Mark commented: “Coronavirus has affected our clients in different ways. Whilst some clients have been forced to close, other clients including those in telecoms, software, design, security and industrial cleaning are using our software to help organise their workforce and work remotely, giving task lists for staff to follow/do, and reorganising planned work into future dates for when restrictions are lifted.”

The firm has recently been recognised in the Northern Tech Awards 2020, presented by GP Bullhound, as a finalist in the ‘Top 100 fastest growing technology companies’ category.
