Peaks & Plains Housing Trust appoints new Chair
Peaks & Plains Housing Trust has appointed Jane McCall as its new Chair. Jane will succeed John Hudson from 1 May 2020.
Jane brings with her extensive strategic and governance experience across housing, health and education sectors. Jane held the position of Executive Director of neighbourhoods at Trafford Housing Trust for 10 years. She has also been a Non-Executive Director for the Office for Legal Complaints (the Legal Ombudsman), and as Deputy Chair at the University Hospital South Manchester (Wythenshawe Hospital).
Jane currently has Non-Executive roles at the Information Commissioner’s Office, and at the House of Commons Commission. In 2018, Jane became Chair of Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care Foundation Trust.
Commenting on her appointment, Jane said: “Our social purpose as an organisation and sector is more evident now than ever before. Despite the economic, regulatory and compliance challenges that face us all in the current climate, I am confident the Trust has the right team in place to tackle these.
“Peaks & Plains is a strong organisation with an excellent reputation that I have followed throughout my own career. I look forward to working with the new executive team and being part of the organisation’s next chapter.”
Mark Howden, Interim Chief Executive at Peaks & Plains Housing Trust, said: “Jane’s passion and enthusiasm for the Trust is already evident. Her skillset and track record reinforce the robust action plan that we are working closely with the Regulator for Social Housing to put in place, and we very much look forward to welcoming her as our new Chair.
“We would like to thank John for his years of dedicated service to the Trust. He leaves an organisation that is financially robust and has a clear strategic direction on how we plan to enhance and restore the governance standard the Trust is known for. Throughout his tenure, John’s commitment to the Trust’s purpose has been a constant.”
