London Healthcare provider, supplying crucial COVID-19 testing, exceeds crowdfunding campaign considerably
CQC registered screening and diagnostics company Rightangled, has launched a crowdfunding campaign to generate the working capital needed to fulfil unprecedented corporate demand for its COVID-19 testing kits.
With the Prime Minister Boris Johnson having announced the government’s phased easing of restrictions, businesses are recognising that self-testing for coronavirus will be key to maintaining safety standards at work. The company’s crowdfunding page has already met its initial target of £50,000 and has now exceeded its second target of £300,000 within 24 hours of Johnson’s announcement.
In order to generate the working capital required to meet this unprecedented demand, Rightangled will continue its crowdfunding efforts.
Rightangled launched its own COVID-19 test at the beginning of April. It has seen sales driven by corporate businesses and embassies wanting to protect the health of their employees and make their return to work as safe as possible.
Abdullah Sabyah, CEO and Chairman of Rightangled, said: “Ever since we launched our COVID-19 testing kits, we have seen a huge demand from businesses wanting to limit the risk of the virus being transmitted in the workplace.”
“With the government focused on public health, many businesses are acting responsibly to reassure employees that they will be safe at work and will take any action necessary to safeguard their wellbeing. Many embassies have also been utilising our kits to ensure their citizens are safe to fly and can return to their home countries in good health.”
Whilst we were initially able to fulfil this demand, it is showing no signs of slowing down as we are yet to come through the other side of the pandemic, and people are recognising that home delivered sampling kits are the best, quickest and safest way to conduct testing with minimal contact.
“We have had success with crowdfunding in the past and it has been instrumental in allowing us to undergo the important work that we do. We hope that we are able to secure additional funding to cement our position in the marketplace as the leading home testing kit provider and launch finger blood testing delivered to our customer base and partner clinics.”
