Robbie Williams’ performing arts and media university launches recruitment drive
LMA London, the media, music and performing arts institution co-owned by Robbie Williams, is calling on industry experts to join its team.
Set to launch later this year, LMA London will offer degree courses across 14 subjects, including music; musical theatre; dance; acting; and film and TV production.
The state-of-the-art campus, which is based at Here East on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, will be the university centre’s first site to open outside of its home city of Liverpool.
And with a team of tutors who boast such impressive industry credentials as working on everything from Hollywood blockbusters to award-winning television series and West End productions, LMA has built a reputation for offering students quality teaching and industry insight.
Now, LMA is hoping to capitalise on London’s talent pool to help nurture future stars, offering roles in: • Acting • Screen Acting • Musical Theatre • Dance • Music Performance • Drums • Guitar • Piano • Vocals • Film and TV Production • Cinematography • Directing • Post-Production • Scriptwriting
The new recruits will join newly appointed LMA London principal Jenni Tyler Maher, a professional cellist set to head up the new site.
Richard Wallace, who co-founded LMA with his brother, Simon, more than 10 years ago, said: “Launching our new London campus is a major step forward in our expansion plans and we’re now at the stage where we can begin to recruit teaching staff. We’ve been overwhelmed by the standard of talent coming through and we’re confident that we can find some fantastic industry experts who can help our new students hone their craft.
“The beauty of now having a site in London is that the pool of creative talent is huge – we’re looking for a mix of experienced tutors who have a successful record of training young people, as well as those who are still working in their chosen field and therefore have the most current, relevant knowledge and skills to offer.”
