Housing development on course for completion at former Durham golf course
A housing development in Durham will create a 54-property community is nearing completion.
The final two properties are now on sale at The Green, a new community of 54 detached properties off South Road, being built on the former Mount Oswald golf course.
The development, which has been built by Bellway Durham, was created in response to the growing demand for housing in the area.
Darren Pelusi, sales manager for Bellway Durham, commented: “The new homes at The Green have helped to meet a growing need for new housing in Durham.
“Their exceptional location, surrounded by countryside yet within easy reach of the historic city centre, means they’ve been incredibly popular with buyers.
“The fact that Bellway is a five-star builder with the Home Builders Federation – which means more than nine out of ten customers would recommend us to a friend – has also been a big draw for people.
“With just 54 homes being built at The Green – all of them four and five-bedroom detached properties - it’s no surprise that there’s now only two plots remaining for sale.
“This is the last chance to buy a new-build home at The Green and I’d encourage anyone hoping to join the new community forming here to get in touch without delay.”
