German tile manufacturer opens UK headquarters in Barnsley
A German tile manufacturer has expanded into the UK with a new headquarters in Yorkshire.
Alferpro has set up a new sales headquarters in Barnsley as it looks to make its mark on the UK market.
The supplier of tile profiles has safely moved into a 5000sq ft warehouse at Carlton Industrial Estate, despite the effects of lockdown.
Juan Sánchez, from alferpro UK ltd, commented: “We’re excited to be set up in Barnsley. It has fantastic links geographically and will allow us to establish our business across the whole of the UK.
“We’ve had success as a company in Germany, Italy, Switzerland and other European countries, so we feel that we can continue our growth in the UK and we’re pleased to have Enterprising Barnsley on side to help where possible.”
Cllr Tim Cheetham, cabinet spokesperson for regeneration and culture, said: “It’s great to see that overseas businesses are continuing to invest in Barnsley.
“It’s a difficult time for the majority of businesses, but for alferpro to have set up and started recording sales is testament to them.
“Our Enterprising Barnsley team is eager to work with them to support them to grow and help access any business support they need as always.”
