Freight forwarding business moves into Heathrow Boulevard
An ambitious freight forwarding business has moved its Heathrow operation into larger, more prestigious office accommodation close to Heathrow Airport as part of significant growth plans for the firm.
Senator International Freight Forwarding Limited has taken c 1700 sq ft on the second floor of Building 4 on Orbit Development’s Heathrow Boulevard campus, a mature landscaped business park with excellent access to Heathrow, the M4, M25 and central London.
The move puts Senator UK at the heart of its industry at Heathrow and will support its continuous drive to improve its first class service to clients and create a better working environment for its existing and future team.
A well-established and respected international freight forwarder Senator UK has had a base in the country for over 25 years. It is part of the global Senator organisation which employs 1700 people in 65 offices around the world with a corporate HQ in Hamburg, Germany. The company works with a range of SME and corporate clients to deliver their shipments to and from the UK by air, ocean and road, including customs clearance at the border.
Managing Director Andy Whitehouse said moving onto Heathrow Boulevard was a transformative step in the plan to grow the business and increase the firm’s presence in the area. “Heathrow Boulevard is located on the perimeter of Heathrow airport which is the perfect base for an international freight forwarding company, especially one with such significant volumes coming via the airport.
“It offers a modern, professional environment for our people, reflecting the status of Senator UK as leading experts in our field and underpinning the quality of services we provide. It’s somewhere for our brand identity to stand out and where we can be proud to welcome clients to discuss new contracts or just meet the team.
He continued: “It also gives us much-needed space to flex and grow – seven of us have moved in immediately and we are looking for more freight forwarding professionals to join our team.”
Of Orbit’s role in helping facilitate the move Andy commented: “They were very professional, supportive and flexible in delivering the space and design we needed. They also did it right on time too, in spite of the extra challenges of arranging it all in the middle of a worldwide pandemic!”
Attracting a wide range of national and international occupiers Heathrow Boulevard campus has also been designed with a work life balance in mind. Additional services – when they can resume safely - include networking events, free weekly yoga classes regular gourmet food trucks, free shuttle bus to Staines shopping centre, and to airport terminals, mobile dry cleaning and car valeting.
Andy again: “We are looking forward to getting to know our neighbours over a yoga class or two in due course!”
