Australian salon chain opens in Sunderland as hairdressing restrictions lift
An Australian company is opening a new salon in Sunderland following the lifting of lockdown measures.
Just Cuts, which has stores across the southern hemisphere, has chosen Sunderland as one of its first UK locations.
The company will be at the Bridges, and will open its doors from 4 July, as the government restriction on salons lifts.
The salon will be introducing social distancing measures, including the option to join the queue remotely via the company app, which then sends a text message to let the customer know they are next in line.
Duncan Allen, building and services director at the Bridges, commented: “We are always very happy to have new retailers in the Bridges but particularly during what has been a challenging time.
“It’s great news that Just Cuts has seen what Sunderland has to offer and it shows the confidence this international company has in the city that they have chosen to come here.”
