Internationally-recognised management standards for Warwickshire company

A Warwickshire-based property, development and construction company has achieved two internationally-recognised management standards highlighting its commitment to quality and safety.

The Wigley Group, which is headquartered in Stockton, has met the rigorous requirements of ISO certification in quality management standards (ISO 9001) and occupational health and safety management standards (ISO 45001).

The company has been working towards the certification over the last year and says the recognition of the operating systems it has in place will contribute to further growth and enable it to expand into new sectors.

The level of scrutiny required of its processes and procedures will also offer clients and stakeholders even more confidence in its products and services, and provide transparency in its commitment to the highest standards in quality and safety.

The process has involved the whole team and has been led by Claire Lynch, head of group governance and development, and Tamsin Mahoney, compliance manager.

Both audits were carried out at the height of the Coronavirus lockdown which could have presented further challenges but due to the company’s operating systems, the business has been able to continue as close to normal as possible.

Claire said: “We are all incredibly proud to have achieved both internationally-recognised standards which shows that we have the highest standards of operating systems in place across all areas of our business.

“Our priority as a company has always been to provide our clients with quality products and services whilst maintaining the highest standards in health and safety, and this certification demonstrates that commitment.

“As we look to expand into new sectors, such as the public sector which requires contractors to have ISO certification, prospective clients can be assured of our ability to deliver.

“It is an important milestone in the company’s development, and the processes and practices that we have in place to meet the standards provide us with the framework to continue to grow while always operating with our clients’ best interests at heart.”
