Main contractor named for £240m Canning Town regeneration scheme
The main contractor has been named for the £240m third phase of a regeneration development in Canning Town.
Property developer Linkcity has signed agreements with contractor Bouygues UK for the third phase of the Hallsville Quarter scheme.
Hallsville Quarter, which is part of the £3.7bn Canning Town and Custom House regeneration project, will provide 1,100 new homes when it is completed in 2024.
The 278 private rental homes in Phase 3 have been forward funded by Grainger situated across two blocks, and will be owned and managed by One Housing Group.
In addition, the development will feature over 323,000 sq ft of leisure and retail space, and more than 32,000 sq ft of space for community facilities, as well as new public spaces, pedestrian links, cyclist provision and 1,100 secure parking spaces.
Linkcity’s managing director, Nicolas Guérin, commented: “Hallsville Quarter is one of London’s biggest regeneration projects, and the third phase will be the largest to date, more than doubling the number of new homes the scheme has delivered so far.
“It’s exciting to have signed agreements with trusted partners and high-quality operators, enabling work to begin on this significant project.”
