Joseph Lanzante to open a new hair and aesthetics training academy

JL Aesthetics, founded by acclaimed barber and long-established training provider, Joseph Lanzante has announced the opening of a new state-of-the-art, training academy in July 2020.

The best in class ‘Victory House’ academy will be based within a historic school house on Lowerhouse Lane in Burnley, which has recently been completely renovated to become Lanzante’s consolidated new business headquarters. The academy will replace JL Aesthetics’ previous training centre in Accrington and will offer a much wider range of fully accredited CPD training courses in hair and aesthetics.

Joseph Lanzante explains, “We’re delighted to expand our business to meet the growing demand for high-class training courses within the hair and aesthetics industry. The new academy will be the North-West’s ultimate destination for existing specialists looking to expand their skillsets as well as fledgling industry newcomers. We will be offering the very best training and most innovative courses to set our students up for long-term success in their chosen hair and aesthetics careers.”

The academy will be divided into two specialist areas, with one dedicated to hair and barbering and the other to aesthetics. Budding practitioners can choose from the very best in non-invasive treatment courses such as micropigmentation, facial scrubs, chemical peels, hair removal, and various anti-ageing and skin rejuvenation procedures such as Meso+ gentle skin needling, all undertaken within the brand’s enhanced service delivery and strict duty of care guidelines.

Over the coming months, the timetable will further expand to offer semi-permanent makeup, laser hair removal and 3d lipo. Also in development is JL Aesthetics’ own salon professional beauty range called ‘epi-nu’, encompassing 28 anti-ageing, stem cell and moisturising products for all skin types with beautiful citrus scents.

The academy will also offer one of the most competitive hair and barber training courses in the UK, which covers everything from marketing a small business to carving out your niche within the industry. There will be a huge emphasis on scissor work to upskill barbers for the growing trend of fading and blending.

Students can also join ‘top up’ courses, such as a dedicated course on fitting male hair pieces, a procedure which has skyrocketed in demand over recent years as males become increasingly more conscious about the way they look and feel. This has been fuelled by media reporting on various Hollywood actors who have been photographed wearing them.

“We pride ourselves on going above and beyond with our training courses. It’s not enough that barbers just learn to cut hair, aesthetics is the way forward, they need to offer much more than and there’s a whole new wave of non-invasive treatments which they can add to their repertoire.”

“The old school house has a distinctive charm about it, so we’ve kept all the original features but given it a modern and new contemporary feel to the interior. There’s a fantastic atmosphere about it which makes you feel motivated and full of energy as soon as you walk through the door.

“The local area is really up and coming and it’s in a great catchment area for many forward-thinking students. We are expecting a very positive reaction amongst barbers and aesthetics clinicians, and are looking forward immensely to welcoming the first UK cohorts to the new JL Aesthetics training academy.”

Industry professionals wishing to find out more about JL Aesthetics training academy and the opportunities it could bring to their clinics, are invited to contact the team for pricing and course timetables.
