Warwick development opens to get property market moving

Clarion Housing, part of the UK’s largest housing association, has announced its Warwick development is re-opening its doors after they shut to prospective buyers because of lockdown.

Clarion Housing will be implementing appointment-only socially distanced tours around its Portobello Riverside apartments, giving prospective buyers the chance to experience the homes and surroundings in full.

The new measures will give future homeowners the opportunity to safely explore and understand the full mix of two bedroom riverside apartments on offer, which are available across private sale and shared ownership.

Surrounded by Warwickshire countryside, Portobello Riverside offers a range of apartments to suit the growing Warwick community, for first time buyers, commuters and downsizers alike. The homes, which are finished to a high specification, are available to purchase from £53,750 based on a 25% share of £215,000 full purchase price. Homes for open market sale are also on offer, with Help to Buy options available.

Julian Cotton, Regional Sales Director at Clarion Housing, comments: “On the banks of the River Avon, Portobello Riverside has proved to be an incredibly popular location for commuters to both Warwick and Leamington Spa and further afield. We’ve carefully designed the development to complement the range of nearby historic attractions and the existing environment, with a big focus on open green spaces to strengthen its semi-rural feel.

“The new measures we’ve put in place for opening after lockdown mean that people will now be able to see for themselves the balance of its tranquil riverside setting, despite only being minutes away from Warwick and Leamington Spa.

“It’s been a challenge to make our developments as safe as possible, but with the introduction of our guided-tours, we can’t wait to play a part in opening up Warwickshire’s housing market after lockdown. We’re excited to offer prospective buyers a unique opportunity to visualise and familiarise themselves with their new home ahead of completion.

“It will enable potential homeowners to step into their new home; explore layouts, formats and interiors, for the first time in months, whilst getting a feel for the contemporary living spaces at Portobello Riverside.”

Clarion Housing aims to help tackle the housing crisis by increasing its pipeline of new build developments, with profits reinvested into building more affordable homes and supporting communities.
