North East firm to create 300 jobs in plans to double workforce
A North East savings group has announced that it plans to double its workforce this year.
Great Annual Savings Group (GAS), based in Seaham, currently employs 300 staff, and plans to create a further 300 jobs during the year.
GAS is also planning to expand its Seaham-based office space to accommodate its “huge” growth plans.
Brad Groves, chief executive of GAS, commented: “The first stage of this plan has seen us confirm our commitment to create hundreds of new jobs, which we would like to fill as soon as possible. We have created 200 jobs in the last year alone.
“GAS is one of the fastest-growing companies in the UK and we are now increasing that rapid pace even further.
“We will be opening recruitment for these posts imminently in sales-related roles with others to follow.
“At a time like this, businesses will be looking to reduce their outgoings across the board and become more efficient.
“This makes GAS’ services more important than ever and we need more staff to deliver these services to as many customers as possible.
“We will be moving into the new premises towards the back end of the calendar year.” GAS helps businesses to reduce their outgoings in energy, water, telecoms, merchant services, insurance and more.
“It has more than 10,000 customers across the UK and Ireland and employs staff across the UK.”
