"Prestigious" Yorkshire housing development complete
A North Yorkshire housing development near Boroughbridge has been completed.
The finishing touches to the prime Priory Meadows development by North Yorkshire-based Caedmon Homes have just been applied.
Bespoke porches, created by Tholthorpe landscape architect Simon Bowler have been added to three flagship houses on the development.
Simon Bowler, architect at Tholthorpe landscape, said: “We have taken great pride in building three porches at Priory Meadows for the three most prestigious properties. The designs are simple and striking, paying homage to traditional carpentry and jointing methods, whilst still being in keeping with the new build architecture.”
As the lockdown eases, the interest in the remaining houses at Priory Meadows has been “phenomenal”, according to marketing agents Preston Baker.
James Baker of Preston Baker added: “As the world slowly gets back to normal after the global pandemic, we have hosted a number of open weekends at Priory Meadows and the reaction has been phenomenal. We were so incredibly busy last weekend that we opened on the Monday as well.
“The upshot is that we have agreed four sales since lockdown, which is a superb return and a massive endorsement of this stunning development.
“As a special thank you to the selfless key workers during Covid-19, we are offering them a five per cent discount on this site for two of our three/four bed houses, which are the same house type as the show home. That equates to a discount of almost £19k.”
The development comprises 34 high-quality homes, ranging from three-beds to five-beds, with prices starting from £377.5k. More than 60 per cent of the development have already been sold.
Paul Brown, director of Caedmon Homes, commented: “We have enjoyed working with such a respected local agency as Preston Baker. They have an excellent track record for marketing homes and residential developments across Yorkshire and they have promoted Priory Meadows swiftly and effectively.
“We have chosen the location of this development extremely carefully. Kirby Hill is a pretty rural village near the flourishing market town of Boroughbridge and within minutes of the A1 motorway, providing easy commuting access to York, Harrogate, Leeds and Newcastle.”
