Mainstay expands City presence with further appointment in Canning Town
Mainstay, one of the UK’s leading residential and mixed-use property management specialists, has been appointed to manage the Keir Hardie Estate in Canning Town, East London – following a successful appointment on the nearby Hallsville Quarter scheme. The estate comprises 649 mixed tenure homes, both private and affordable housing, over several blocks and townhouses. The development was part of a wider regeneration scheme to transform the local area physically, socially and economically. Charles Lucas, technical director at Mainstay, said: “We’re delighted to be appointed to manage the estate. “We have seen continued growth in recent years and this latest win is testament to our reputation as a highly-regarded and trusted managing agent. The Keir Hardie directors added: “We received positive feedback on their recent takeover of nearby Hallsville Quarter, so Mainstay felt the natural choice for this scheme.” “They performed strongly throughout all stages of the tender process. Their price was competitive, and we were impressed with their positive engagement and their value-added service improvement proposals.” Mainstay has extensive experience managing mixed tenure sites with previous successful partnerships with affordable housing providers and local authorities. The company, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, manages over 80,000 properties across the UK from its head office in Worcester.
