Virtual agency Get Ahead VA celebrates 10 years in business
Virtual agency Get Ahead VA is delighted to be celebrating ten successful years in business this September. The team of over 40 virtual assistants are looking forward to celebrating in virtual style, in light of current social distancing measures.
Get Ahead VA was founded in 2010 by Guildford businesswoman Rebecca Newenham. After a successful career in corporate buying, Rebecca was looking for a more flexible solution that would enable her to work around her family. Following a flying start, the business quickly grew to become a vibrant team, with other highly skilled marketing and business support specialists happy to join their flexible working ethos.
Since those early beginnings, the business support agency has gone on to expand across the UK. With over 100 clients ranging from will writers to window cleaners and financial consultants to fashion designers, the Get Ahead VA team enables them to get back to what they do best – growing and running their businesses.
After years of organic growth, Get Ahead VA introduced a franchising model in 2017 and are now rapidly approaching appointing their tenth franchisee. Interestingly, franchise enquiries have recently accelerated as people put on furlough or made redundant are turning to more flexible working options.
Rebecca Newenham, Founder & Director of Get Ahead VA said: “I am so proud of everything that we have achieved over the past 10 years. There have been so many highlights – from welcoming our first client on board to winning our first award for Flexible Business of the Year. Every time we receive a positive review is a highlight as I know our team has made a real difference. SME’s are the lifeblood of the UK economy and we are so proud to support them.
Particularly over the past 6 months, I am honoured by how our team has come together and supported each other. From What’s App messages to Team video calls, we have all helped each other and our clients to find positive opportunities despite challenging times. Now is definitely the time to celebrate everything we have achieved and look forward to the next decade.“
