London mobile firm secures £410k funding package to protect jobs
A London mobile phone company has announced that it has secured a £410k funding package to help protect jobs.
BusinessMobiles.com has secured the loan from HSBC UK through the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS).
The loan has helped to protect 39 jobs, as well as allowing the company to adapt its business model to focus on remotely supporting clients throughout the pandemic.
Charmaine De Souza, managing director of BusinessMobiles.com, commented: “With the working environment changing overnight and the increased need for our business customers to use their mobile phones, we were keen to adapt quickly to support both them and our staff.
“The funding from HSBC UK has allowed us to be flexible and help us focus on delivering efficient and valued support to clients via a workforce based at home.
“In addition, our new social presence means we can reach and engage with our customers through a number of platforms and provide added value.”
Laura Murray, head of corporate in London East, HSBC UK, added: “Over the last 20 years, BusinessMobiles.com has become a widely-recognised and respected company among many corporate clients across the UK.
“We’re pleased to be able to support the company as it navigates through a changing business environment and focuses on improving its client service.”
