CODA architects aiming high with latest design project
PLANS have been submitted to Sheffield Council for a major new student apartment development close to the city centre.
THE team at Sheffield’s award winning CODA Architecture have designed the 18 story block on the site of the current Ant Marketing building in the increasingly popular and central St Mary’s Gate area.
The development will feature 113 student apartments totalling 286 beds, comprised of clusters and studio units above recreation spaces, a secure cycle area, plant rooms and refuse facilities.
The project has been created on behalf of Leeds based developer the KMRE Group.
The development will see a continuation of the high density development of the St Mary’s Gate area and is seen as a sign of continued confidence in the strength of the Sheffield student market.
