Europa Warehouse Supports Client by Going the Extra Mile for Charity

Europa Warehouse and its transport team in Dartford were happy to lend a hand to help its customer, Accora Ltd, deliver a charity donation of 160 new beds to Jacobs Well Care Centre.

Dartford is one of Europa Warehouse’s four award-winning 3pl facilities, the others being Birmingham, Rushden and recently completed £60m Corby site.

Accora is a leading manufacturer of assistive care equipment and has been a client of Europa Warehouse since 2015. It supplies customers ranging from large public-sector organisations to small and medium businesses across the globe.

Europa Worldwide Group is an ambitious independent logistics operator with six divisions – Europa Road, Europa Air & Sea, Europa Showfreight, Europa Warehouse, Europa Contact Centre and Continental Cargo Carriers and has featured in The Sunday Times Top Track 250 for two years running. Europa recently revealed its results for year-ending 31st December 2019, showing another 16.5% growth with a record turnover of £205million.

During the Covid-19 peak, Europa Warehouse jumped into action to help Accora with an urgent delivery of medical beds, for the NHS Nightingale Coronavirus Hospital, at ExCel in East London.

With Europa having demonstrated its willingness to go the extra mile for its customers, Accora returned to Europa to ask whether they could facilitate transport for a charity donation of beds. Transport was needed for a journey from Milton Keynes to Hull. Jacobs Well Care Centre is a South Hampshire based charity, providing free furniture for those in need. Accora wanted to be able to donate its beds to a charity where the equipment would make a real difference and after much research, the medical bed provider felt that Jacobs Well Care Centre was the perfect fit. The donated beds are being sent to remote locations around the world, including Africa and will be used in hospitals and refugee camps.

Europa Warehouse Director, Maria Torrent-March said: “We were delighted to be able to assist Accora with this superb charity project, it’s great to be able to support our customers and the wider community.”

“Here at Europa, we value our customers above anything, and we try to go above and beyond to offer an excellent service to each and every one of them. Community is also something that is very important to us at Europa, we encourage staff to get involved in fundraising activities, so it was fantastic for the whole Warehouse team to be able to do so with Accora.”

Samuel Drake, Director from Accora added: “We are very grateful that Europa was willing to help us with this project. Transportation for the beds, was key in allowing us to make the donation to Jacobs Well Care Centre. We are delighted to have been able to work with Europa on yet another community project.”
