Hull-based safety expert relocates Industrial Hose Division to larger facility
A Hull safety expert has announced the relocation of its Industrial Hose Division to a larger facility.
Arco, which is one of the UK’s largest industrial hose distributors, invested £2m into its new purpose-built facility.
The facility is next to the Arco National Distribution Centre on the outskirts of Hull and is part of the company’s investment program.
It will have increased storage capacity, improved efficiencies for working, and more accessible machinery which will see quicker turn-around of customer orders.
A specialist customer service team will be based at the new facility to offer expert guidance on choosing the right hose products, as well as advice on safety and relevant legislation.
There has also been “significant” investment in equipment on the site, including a custom-made test container for pressure testing larger assemblies with two smaller fully contained cabinets.
Daniel Frith, product & procurement manager for industrial hoses, commented: “The move to this new facility will provide greater storage capacity for our products and a working environment that’s more flexibile for the team – meaning we can sustain and improve upon our current customer service levels, as well as enable our future growth ambitions.”
