Leeds tech firm expands European footprint with Dutch hospitality partnership
A Leeds data analytics and business intelligence software developer has continued its international expansion by partnering with a Netherlands-based business.
Panintelligence has announced a new partnership with booq, a SaaS software specialist working with the hospitality, catering and sports industries.
The Dutch firm, whose software system switches transactions from a cash register to hand-held devices as well as digitalising processes such as workforce scheduling, kitchen management systems or table reservations, will embed Panintelligence’s self-developed ‘Pi’ dashboard into its system.
The partnership represents the latest international expansion for the Yorkshire-headquartered business, which expanded to the US and secured £5m backing in a Series A fundraising last year.
Ken Miller, CTO at Panintelligence, commented: “booq is typical of our SaaS vendor clients who are seeing an explosion in demand for a data analytics and BI tool that can be rapidly embedded into their software.
“Since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic the global economy is shifting decisively to the cloud and BI technology that makes sense of data and can exploit it has become absolutely essential for success.”
Hans Gringhuis, CTO of booq CTO, added: “Our systems generate large amounts of data and we needed to turn that into valuable information for our customers. We win business on being user-friendly, supporting more platforms and being better integrated than our competitors, but we knew our data analytics could be improved.
“We wanted to bolster our BI and analytics capabilities to meet the increasing demand from customers and so decided to work with an analytics software specialist rather than enhance what we had written ourselves.A provider who could structure their product flexibly and swiftly around our business model was essential for us.
“Panintelligence’s three-in-one dashboard, reporting and predictive modelling platform met our requirements and their expertise and support with rapidly integrating the software meant they have become like an extension of our own development team during the lockdown.”
