Sheffield business becomes the first gym in the UK to house a ground-breaking cell regeneration machine

Sheffield based gym, S20 Physique, has become the first gym in the UK and the first establishment in the North of England to offer pioneering Molecular Bio-Physical Stimulation (MBST) therapy to treat sporting injuries and degenerative musculoskeletal conditions.

Established by sports therapist Frank Dack, and his son Ryan, in 2016, S20 Physique has been voted one of the best gyms in the UK, and is building on that reputation with its new in-house physiotherapy clinic, in partnership with Oakwood Physiotherapy & Wellness Centre in Nottinghamshire.

Home to sporting heroes such as ex-Cruiserweight World Champion boxer, current Sky Sports presenter and gym member, Johnny Nelson, who credits MBST with reducing his back pain in only two days, describing it as “absolutely mind blowing”, S20 Physique is one of just eight centres in the UK to offer the revolutionary new therapy.

MBST stimulates tissue healing, cell regeneration and pain control using non-invasive technology and can rapidly speed up the healing process of sporting injuries, making it a welcome addition to the sports-professionals favoured gym.

As well as its effectiveness in treating injuries, when used to treat degenerative conditions, it can offer a life-altering reduction in pain of up to 70%. With its arrival at S20 Physique, treatments usually only available to elite athletes are now widely accessible to people across Sheffield and Northern England.

Frank, whose many years as a sports therapist has included treating and preventing injuries behind the scenes at competitions like ‘World’s Strongest Man’, explains; “Both my son (Ryan Dack, European Champion Physique competitor) and I have had spectacular results with MBST therapy at Oakwood Physio. Having treated sporting injuries throughout my career and as a personal success story, I wanted to offer this fantastic therapy alongside existing treatments and the award-winning facilities we already have at S20 Physique.”

Frank has partnered with Ian Andrews of Oakwood Physiotherapy, the first practice in the UK to offer MBST, which now has a two-month waitlist, and together they have launched ‘Oakwood Physiotherapy & MBST @ S20 Physique’.

The clinic will use the pioneering MBST technology in conjunction with existing physiotherapy treatments and rehabilitation coaches to treat sports injuries and musculoskeletal conditions such as osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, spinal degeneration, cartilage damage and other injuries.

MBST is not widely known in the UK but it has transformed the lives of thousands of people across the world over the past 20 years. It is a completely pain-free and non-invasive therapy, and at Oakwood Physiotherapy and MBST @ S20 Physique, is undertaken in a bespoke treatment room designed to make the whole experience calm and relaxing.

The technology works by stimulating damaged and degenerated cartilage, bone, ligament, tendon and muscle cells to encourage repair and regrowth.

Once the cells of the affected area or injury have been sufficiently stimulated from MBST therapy, the cells will continue to grow and develop by themselves, reducing pain and enabling greater mobility.
