Petersfield Town Juniors receive welcome boost from David Wilson Homes for second year running

A junior football team in Petersfield is kicking off a new season in style thanks to brand new kit, which has been donated from David Wilson Homes.

The five-star housebuilder, which has the Causeway Park development nearby, has pledged to continue its support for the second year in a row to the Petersfield Town Juniors Football Club. Last year’s under 12s Pumas team, which received support from David Wilson Homes, has moved up to U13’s level. It means they will now start playing 11 aside football, increasing their squad size by 3 players, and the additional kit was needed.

David Wilson Homes purchased this additional kit, as well as training tracksuits for the Club, which plays in the North East Hampshire Youth League and will play against opposition across all of North East Hampshire. They will also play in the Hampshire Cup covering the entire county.

The Causeway Park development situated on the edge of Petersfield, just off the a3 on The Causeway, only has one property left on the site, but David Wilson Homes is still committed to continue its support of the local community in these troubling times, as well as leaving a lasting legacy.

Jon Green, managing director for David Wilson Homes’ Southampton division, said: “Here at David Wilson Homes, we work hard with the communities where we develop new homes to make sure we build strong relationships. The Petersfield Town Juniors do such great work and we were pleased to be able to provide them with ongoing support, both with our previous donation and new kit.”

Martin Ewen from the football club said: “We’re absolutely over the moon with this donation and David Wilson Homes’ kind generosity. “It’s great to know that a large developer invests in the neighbourhood and community relationships in this way. Thank you very much from all of us at Petersfield Juniors FC.”
