Europa Celebrates 1000th Employee

Europa Worldwide Group is delighted to announce the recruitment of its 1000th employee.

The news is a key milestone for the business, which was recently featured in The Sunday Times Top Track 250 for the third time and showcases its continued efforts to drive growth despite the current challenges.

Caolan Watts-Adams, Europa’s official 1000th employee is a Customs Declarant, within the newly created Customs Department based at the heart of the company, at its 1Hub in Dartford. The new team has been developed as part of the leading logistics firms’ BREXIT preparations, with 16 people so far employed to manage the import customs clearance process for consignments arriving from the EU post 1st January 2021.

Europa is fully prepared for the upcoming regulatory changes, as the UK nears the end of the transition period. To tackle any potential issues, Europa Road recently launched its Europa FLOW customs product, designed to preserve transit times and the flow of goods between the UK and Europe after the BREXIT transition period ends on 31st December.

Dan Cook, Operations Manager for Europa Worldwide Group, comments: “We are delighted to welcome Caolan Watts-Adams into the business as our 1000th employee. This is an exciting achievement, especially because the team he has joined is the newly created Customs Department – developed solely for the purpose of managing newly required Brexit regulations. It showcases how the business continues to grow whilst focusing on the needs of our customers.”

Andrew Baxter, Managing Director of Europa Worldwide Group, comments: “This is a huge milestone for our business. The industry is coming up against constant challenges, but we have stood firm and continued to focus on our mission of delivering outstanding logistics services. Now to see our 1000th employee walk through the door of our Dartford 1Hub we can take a moment to reflect and be proud of what we have accomplished so far.”

Europa Worldwide Group is an ambitious independent logistics operator with six divisions – Europa Road, Europa Air & Sea, Europa Showfreight, Europa Warehouse, Europa Contact Centre and Continental Cargo Carriers and has featured in The Sunday Times Top Track 250 for three years running. Europa recently revealed its results for year-ending 31st December 2019, showing another 16.5% growth with a record turnover of £205million.
