Split the Bills gives a year of support to Roundabout

SHEFFIELD shared living billing experts Split the Bills have chosen city youth homelessness organisation Roundabout as their Charity of the Year.

And they have donated £1,500, which will go directly towards supporting vulnerable young people throughout the region.

The money would normally have been spent on office refreshments and breakfast items but with most of the Split the Bills team currently working remotely, they wanted to use the saved money to make a difference to young people facing really tough times.

“It is really important for us to support a local charity this year,” said Split the Bills People and Culture Partner Nadine Warburton.

“Like Roundabout, Split The Bills is based in the city centre of Sheffield and as such we see people struggling with homelessness every day.

“We see great value in the work that Roundabout does to support vulnerable young people and we’re proud to be able to help their wonderful team in their mission of ending youth homelessness.”

In addition, the company also donates £1 for every house that joins Split The Bills to Roundabout.

Roundabout Fundraising and Communications Manager Helen Mower commented: “We are delighted that Split the Bills chose to support us throughout this very challenging year.

“This donation in particular shows how companies saving money in other ways can use this to support charities and we’re thrilled that Split the Bills has taken this opportunity.

“Now more than ever, vulnerable young people throughout South Yorkshire are turning to Roundabout and the enthusiastic backing given by the Split the Bills team really is help us to provide assistance where it is needed most.”
