Flooring company invests £70k in new Northumberland store
A family flooring retailer is opening its 30th store following a £70k investment in a North East retail unit.
Franks the Flooring Store is opening a 3,500 sq ft store in Alnwick, following the refurbishment of an existing retail unit in South Road, directly opposite Aldi.
This is Frank’s 4th Northumberland store, and it has created three full-time jobs for local people.
Gareth Booth, who is running the store, commented: “We’re delighted to have been able to bring a new Frank’s the Flooring Store to the wonderful town of Alnwick.
“We are in a fantastic location just off the main road into the town from the A1 and opposite Aldi, and we’re already experiencing excellent footfall.”
Mike Spruce, Frank’s area manager, said: “Opening the 30th Frank’s the Flooring Store represents a fantastic milestone and we’re pleased that we had the opportunity to do this in Alnwick.
“It’s our most northerly store in the region and now means that we have Frank’s stores stretching from Alnwick to Teesside, with more in the pipeline.
“We’re confident Alnwick will prove just as popular with local people as our other stores have and that it will make a major contribution to the continued success of the Frank’s the Flooring Store brand.”
