Aspire supports North East firms through second lockdown with offer of one year’s worth of free ultrafast connectivity

North East tech firm has vowed to continue to support businesses across the region after the recent announcement of further lockdown measures due to the Covid-19 crisis.

Aspire Technology Solutions, who were named Company of the Year at the North East Business Awards 2020, are extending their offer of one full year’s worth of free ultrafast connectivity for North East businesses.

Chris Fraser, managing director, said the company has been “lucky” in terms of the impact it has experienced during the pandemic, but wants to help those across the region who have had a more difficult time.

The tech firm has developed its own full fibre network throughout the North East. Known as Ultrafast Dedicated Connectivity (UDC), Aspire provides business connectivity of up to 100 gigabits per second (Gb/s), the fastest speeds and most reliable service available in the country.

How is Aspire supporting businesses?

Until 31 December 2020, Aspire is offering North East businesses up to 12 months free Ultrafast Dedicated Connectivity (UDC). To provide extra flexibility for those in contracts, go-live dates can be any time until 30 June 2021.

In Aspire’s bid to help local businesses increase efficiency and improve productivity during the current difficult climate, they can receive 12 months free on a new five-year UDC contract, or six months free on a new three-year UDC contract.

During the period of free connectivity, which will see businesses make savings of more than 16.5%, there will be no costs to pay for installation or rental. The payment break will mean local firms can take advantage of world-class business connectivity, at a time when it is most needed.

Reliable connectivity is crucial for businesses moving forward

“Being connected to a reliable network is crucial for businesses to remain productive during this time. We’ve seen a number of organisations who didn’t have the right connectivity and during lockdown, they struggled with core performance” said Chris Fraser (managing director).

Aspire’s Ultrafast Dedicated Connectivity offering can provide the right all-important connectivity for small start-ups to large businesses, and the company has provided services to businesses across the spectrum.

Chris explained: “UDC contracts can start out as a small and more cost-effective solution and as your business scales, it can scale with you.”
