Plans revealed for Harrogate manufacturer's new headquarters
A Yorkshire manufacturer has revealed new plans for expansion and relocation as it submits an application for new headquarters.
EnviroVent, a ventilation systems manufacturer, has submitted a planning application for a new unit at Burley Bank Road in Harrogate, which will comprise 17,000 sq ft of office space, more than 13,000 sq ft for product assembly and more than 30,000 sq ft of storage space.
This will bring the company’s two sites together into one, facilitating its plans for growth going forward.
The planning application was submitted by ID Planning on behalf of EnviroVent and Teakwood Developments,.
Andy Makin, EnviroVent’s managing director, commented: “This has been a challenging year for many businesses, including ourselves, so it is fantastic to be able to share such exciting news about our plans to relocate and expand.
“This has been made possible due to the continued commitment of our staff, customers and suppliers, plus the fantastic support of our parent company Soler & Palau Ventilation Group.
“Community is very important to us and we are very proud to also be the major sponsor of Harrogate Town AFC for the 2020/2021 season with the renaming of the stadium and community liaison initiatives focusing our efforts.
“We are very excited about what the future holds for our business and that the proposed relocation hopes to create even more local employment but importantly helps secure existing jobs for colleagues in Harrogate and elsewhere.”
Daniel Martin, director of Teakwood Developments, said: “We are pleased to be working with EnviroVent and are very hopeful that the planning application will be approved. It is exciting to be working with a local company which is looking to meet their aspirations for growth with purpose-built new premises.”
