Change management experts join forces to launch consultancy

A quartet of experienced change management professionals have joined forces to launch a start-up consultancy.

Leeds-based Eximious Alliance provides business analysis and management tools that deliver change and improvement for UK companies.

The firm was advised on its formation by the specialist Start-up, Scale-up team at Yorkshire-based law firm Lupton Fawcett.

Initially created as a professional network of independent change management professionals, Eximious Alliance was born when Fran Varley, Alison Sarmiento, Dawn Hirons and Adel Bowes decided to pool their public and private sector skills and experience to deliver a bigger and broader range of projects.

Eximious Alliance’s current work includes projects related to the Covid-19 pandemic and Brexit. The team has experience across a range of industries including logistics, insurance, mutual societies, energy and the NHS.

Alison Sarmiento said: “There are lots of big corporate consultancies out there but we don’t have a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach. We work in alliance with organisations to provide a bespoke service that harnesses what everyone involved has to offer. We get to the heart of an organisation and, from there, we drive change.

“The response from clients has already surpassed our expectations. Launching amid a pandemic was certainly not part of the plan but it has given us time and space to hone our proposition.

“Lupton Fawcett helped us through the important stages of company incorporation, shareholders’ agreement, articles of association and employment contracts. We were impressed by their innovative approach and quick turnaround.”

Lupton Fawcett’s Start-up, Scale-up programme is run by a specialist team of lawyers with vast experience in guiding businesses through the maze of challenges they face as they launch and grow.

Jonathan Oxley, chairman at Lupton Fawcett, who advised the team, said: “It was a pleasure to support the Eximious Alliance team. Their standout qualities as advisors, along with clearly stated values and culture make them precisely the type of company we look to work with.

“With these firm foundations in place, and by building on their collaboration and shared values, Eximious Alliance is well-placed to build a successful future.”

Lupton Fawcett has offices in Leeds, Sheffield and York, providing a full range of legal services to commercial and individual clients.
