Omnia Property Group to manage iconic Sheffield centre development
SHEFFIELD property management specialist Omnia Property Group will be be managing one of the city’s most talked-about new residential developments.
Chapel Walk Apartments on the corner of Fargate and Chapel Walk at the very heart of Sheffield city centre, will be officially opening in March 2021.
The Omnia team will be managing the site, looking after the 48 apartments which range from studio size to three bedroom and will be marketed to both the student and young professional markets.
Owned by Fargate Evolve Developments Ltd, the site spent several years behind controversial scaffolding, all of which has now been removed ready for the final phase of the renovation to be completed.
Mark Mitchell, the Managing Director of Fargate Evolve Developments, said: “Just over 12 months ago, I took over responsibility for this development and the first pledge I made was to fast-track the removal of the scaffolding for the sake of shop-keepers and shoppers in time for Christmas and we have made good that promise.
“The benefits of city centre living in modern apartments located in the heart of Fargate’s pedestrianised shopping area are hugely appealing to many people.
“We are now announcing the availability of apartments to rent from March 2021 and the response has been fantastic.”
Omnia has now released a first look at what the apartments will look like when the first residents move in.
“We are delighted to be adding Chapel Walk Apartments to our constantly expanding list of block management clients,” said Omnia Operations director Amy Ryan.
“We are particularly pleased that, as a Sheffield company, we are able to add this development to our portfolio.
“As everybody knows, the site was previously a real eye sore and detrimental to both Chapel Walk and Fargate.
“But the re-development of this building has created many local jobs and the addition of 78 new tenants to the area will have a positive impact for surrounding businesses.
“The developers were very aware of the importance of the block and its central location and the exterior finish reflects the traditions of Fargate and compliments the street scene, while the interiors will very much meet the expectations of 21st century tenants, with a high quality finish throughout.”
The Omnia Property Group works across all areas of the property market including block and commercial property management, offices, student accommodation, residential lettings and facilities management.
With a base established nationwide, the company - made up of Omnia Space, Omnia Offices and Omnia Estates - has now grown into a major player covering the whole of the UK, with a workforce of 60 plus.
Its portfolio includes the management of 1,000,000 square feet of office space, 1500 residential properties and student beds across the UK and more than 1,800 block management units - more than £650,000,000 worth of property in total.
