New contactless ordering service launched to help North East hospitality industry
Two North East businesses have announced that they are launching a new hospitality service that provides contactless ordering.
Digital marketing and development agency Ovo Studio has teamed up with SellerHQ to create Etable, a digital hospitality service that provides contactless ordering for dine in and takeaway restaurants, cafes and bars.
The platform, which has been supported by the DigitalCity initiative, has a secure payment gateway, streamlined ordering process and stores customer details digitally, speeding up NHS Track and Trace activity.
Thomas Robinson, owner of Ovo Studio, commented: “We at Ovo Studio are committed to supporting the local economy in these uncertain times.
“With that in mind, we wanted to create a solution for the hospitality industry that meant they are able to continue to thrive while keeping employees and customers as safe as possible.”
Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen said: “It’s vital that our businesses pull together at this difficult time, in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, to seek new opportunities and innovative ways of doing things so our economy can recover and thrive.
“It’s fantastic to hear that, thanks to my Covid Challenge, Ovo Studio and SellerHQ have come up with a way to support our brilliant hospitality sector with their new service.
“This type of collaboration is exactly what we need to get through this and come back stronger.”
Thomas added: “DigitalCity has opened many doors for our company.
“From taking part in the Accelerator Programme I have been able to take a really deep look at my business from the ground up, evaluating the structure, value and service offering while ensuring I am working in the most efficient way.”
“The team and mentors provide real value with a wealth of experience and continue to support us, which we are really grateful for.”
