West Yorkshire Tech Specialist Pens New Contracts With Global Publishing Market-Leaders

Squaremoons Publishing Solutions, a West Yorkshire based technology company, is looking towards a strong finish to what has been a challenging 2020, with news of the renewal of contracts with two London-based market-leading publishing specialists – and the opportunity to acquire several new clients too.

The organisation has confirmed that London-based publishing giants, Toppan Merrill and Black & Callow, both of whom have an impressive global client roster, have renewed 12-month contracts with Squaremoons for their publishing software.

The software, also used by print management companies, design agencies and newspapers, enables documents and content to be created with greater control and compliance - no matter the amount of alterations and changes which are commonplace in publishing, meaning the outcome is greater accuracy of content – and improved speed to market too. Founded by Paul Somerville and Andrew Munt in 2017, Squaremoons work with a variety of clients across the UK as well as globally, in places such as London, Hong Kong, France and of course, their native Yorkshire.

Paul Somerville, co-founder said; *“Contract renewal is important in any year, but it’s been even more welcome in 2020 which has challenged us all. Toppan Merrill and Black & Callow are leaders in the financial publishing and regulatory communications fields and are absolutely at the top of their game. To continue to provide solutions to help them succeed is a testament to the products we’ve created.” *

As well as Black & Callow and Toppan Merrill, where the Yorkshire-built software has fought off competition from a US supplier to retain its status for all UK and European financial typesetting work, Squaremoons are also in advanced discussions with several other organisations which would set them up well for a successful 2021.

Andrew Munt, co-founder adds; “We’re in the final stretch of conversations with several large London-based printing groups as well as a well-known manufacturing and transport multinational. It’s really exciting for us, and I can’t wait to be in the position to say who exactly they are.“

Despite these new contracts and opportunities, Paul and Andrew are keeping themselves grounded, and recognise the value of working with local companies which is helping them grow as well as diversify into new markets too. Just recently they’ve worked with a Brighouse fulfilment company to build their new hybrid mail software. Such collaboration is a new approach for Squaremoons and adds to their services offered.

Paul concludes; “Although this latest update is all about large organisations based primarily in London and overseas, we do recognise the support our local clients give us. They gave us a start and a footing in the industry, of which we’ll always be thankful.“
