Communications Giant Invosys Acquire Atrium Telecom in Strategic Move

Communications technology company Invosys have announced the acquisition of Atrium Telecom in a strategic move which will enhance the Invosys product suite, tech capability and customer offering. The acquisition comes after Invosys identified a natural synergy between the two companies, who already share several joint customers, which matched Invosys’ core values of leading from the front and delivering on promises.
Operating since 2006, Invosys’ mission was to challenge the established telcos and offer every business the opportunity to choose smarter, simpler and easier to use services for their communications. From day one, the business has led from the front with it’s own cutting-edge, in-house developed technology and is best known for it’s pioneering cloud comms platform and beautiful call logic software, backed up with the highest quality customer experience. Today, Invosys continue on a mission to create change and offer choice in the channel, providing an alternative and supporting customers to try something exciting, which is not only simpler to use but is ultimately more effective for their business. The acquisition brings with it huge opportunities for both businesses and telecoms as a whole, bringing another channel to the market and adding a series of complementary perimeters to Invosys’ existing proposition. This includes an expansion of Invosys’ tech capability and solutions, as well as enhancing the availability of the businesses’ unique 247 offering, which already gives technology providers the ability to outsource their technical support calls to a team outside of their own. Rob Booth of Invosys explains more:

“Atrium is a fantastic business, with a proposition that perfectly complements everything we already do at Invosys. We share an ethos and an approach, which means the team will slot in perfectly with our ideas and plans for the future.

“The acquisition has allowed us to tap into enhanced level of technical support and harness it to ultimately offer more fantastic options to our established and excellent partner channel.

Atrium Telecom is an independent telecoms company providing installation and maintenance services to partners throughout the UK, working for some of the UKs leading telecoms companies and manufacturers including Avaya & Panasonic. Atrium Managing Director Barry Tuffs, who is widely regarded as a channel veteran and previously spent a number of years leading the UK Channel for Avaya and Unify, joins Invosys as Sales and Marketing Director. He said:

“We’re excited to be working with such a forward looking company with ambitious plans for growth. We know that our partnership with Invosys will revolutionise the telecoms channel.”

In the short term, customers can expect the same leading support and solutions from both companies. In the long term, the acquisition will continue to shake things up the channel, ramping up development and further integrating both company’s solutions and expertise, to offer all customers an even greater level of service.

Peter Crooks of Invosys concluded:

“This is a huge step forward on the Invosys journey, taking us to yet another level. It’s a fantastic great deal for all involved, with significant value not just for Invosys and the Atrium shareholders, but also to staff and customers who will hugely benefit from further investment in the business.”
