National award for employment lawyer

Employment Partner at law firm Lupton Fawcett Andy Gilchrist has triumphed at the Lawyer Monthly Legal Awards 2020.

Andy, who heads the multi award-winning Employment Team at Lupton Fawcett, was named HR and Employment Law Lawyer of the Year in the awards.

The Lawyer Monthly Legal Awards recognise the achievements of law firms and individuals who have delivered exceptional results for their clients over the past 12 months.

The winners were announced following a strict voting and judging process.

Andy advises employers and employees on the full range of employment and HR related matters, including discrimination issues, litigation, corporate restructures, executive terminations, redundancies and appeals to the Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT).

Andy said: “I would like to thank Lawyer Monthly for naming me HR and Employment Law Lawyer of the Year 2020. Given the previous recipients, it is a real honour.”

“Although it is a personal award, I would like to share it with my colleagues in the Employment Team, as it could not have been achieved without their support, hard work and commitment.”

“Our aim has been to create a Team which not only provides high quality advice and service, but also delivers it in a genuinely friendly and helpful way. Ultimately, our clients come to us when they have problems to solve, and we work as a team to help solve them.”

“We’ve been fortunate enough to win a number of awards over the past four years. However, as this one is based on client feedback, it is particularly rewarding.”

The Employment Team’s awards include Yorkshire Employment Team of the Year (Yorkshire Legal Awards), and UK Regional Employment Team of the Year (The Legal 500).
