Roof Tile Firm Recognises Long Service of Dedicated Employees
Pioneering pitched roof tile manufacturer, Russell Roof Tiles, is celebrating the dedication and long service of 11 members of the team, who have a combined long service of 135 years.
Russell Roof Tiles is the largest independent manufacturer of concrete derivatives in the UK pitched roofing market and employs 140 staff across its three sites (two in Burton) and Lochmaben, Scotland.
The firm presented Long Service Awards to loyal staff across the sites in Burton and Lochmaben including senior members of its management team Bruce Laidlaw (Production Director), and Daniel Hancox (Business Support Manager).
Russell Roof Tiles Long Service Awards were launched in its 50th anniversary year (in 2015) and celebrate the commitment of those who have been with the company for more than 10 years.
The members of the team at its head office and other Burton site have a combined service of 105 years, they are:
• Trevor Witham (Works Manager) for 25 years • Michael Whitehead (Technical Sales Manager for the West Midlands) and Jamie Wilds (Commercial Services Co-Ordinator) for 15 years • Daniel Hancox (Business Support Manager), Otto Mathiesen (Maintenance Manager) Ashley Jackson (Maintenance Fitter) Justin Dennis and Steven Butcher (Operatives) who have all worked at Russell Roof Tiles for 10 years.
Three members of staff at its Lockerbie site, in Lochmaben Scotland have achieving a combined 30 years of service at Russell Roof Tiles. They are Bruce Laidlaw (Production Director) for 20 years’ service, William Riddell (Production Operator) and Charlie Graham (Production Operator) - who have both worked at Russell Roof Tiles Lockerbie site for 10 years.
In 2020, 11 members of the team were presented with awards ranging from 10 to 30 years.
