Shoe Zone see a 253% increase in welly sales
Shoe Zone have seen a staggering 253% increase YoY for online welly sales as the UK takes to the outdoors during the lockdown.
With 500 stores across the UK, Shoe Zone are the largest value footwear retailer, selling a vast range of shoes for all ages.
According to Google trends data, there has been a 32% increase in search for walks, compared to this time last year.
This staggering increase in sales is likely to be influenced by those looking to make the most of their daily exercise in the New Year amid the new lockdown restrictions.
Charlotte Maker, Head of Marketing at Shoe Zone, comments:
“Given the current Covid-19 lockdown and the unpredictability of British weather, we’ve seen more pairs of wellies being purchased than ever before as people look to embark on their daily walk”
“The welly sales we have experienced are a sure sign that families are heading out for some winter walks and making sure they have appropriate footwear for getting outside no matter the weather.”
