Newcastle-based Lycetts Risk Management Services welcomes new risk manager
Lycetts Risk Management Services has bolstered its ambitious growth plans with the appointment of a new internationally-experienced risk manager.
Alex Cormack has joined Newcastle-based Lycetts Risk Management Services (LRMS), the specialist risk management arm of the Lycetts Group.
Alex brings with him more than 14 years of risk management experience, including inspection manager roles with Smulders UK, Siemens and Rix Renewables, and most recently, NE Safety Solutions.
The NEBOSH-qualified health and safety manager has vast experience in a multitude of sectors, including the oil and gas, nuclear and renewable energy industries, and possesses a wealth of knowledge in health and safety inspection, quality assurance and project management.
In his capacity as risk consultant, Alex will spearhead LRMS’s expansion plans, as well as provide comprehensive and bespoke health and safety advice and risk management services to the division’s existing client base.
“I am passionate about health and safety and this passion has taken me all over the world,” said Alex, who is currently completing a degree in occupational health and safety.
“I have spent years working for large international projects, both on and offshore, and this has given me extensive insight and diverse knowledge of key risk processes and challenges across a broad spectrum of sectors. It has also helped me to acquire the requisite expertise to fulfil LRMS’s aspirations to grow in the risk management and inspections space.
“LRMS’s strong work ethic, commitment to professionalism, and personable service align with my own values, and I look forward to building on the fantastic service that our clients are accustomed to, as well as to acquiring new business in the near future.”
Lycetts Risk Management Services is part of the Lycetts Group, one of the UK’s leading insurance brokers and financial services providers.
LRMS provides a comprehensive range of health and safety services to the agricultural sector, including health and safety policies, risk assessments, fire risk assessments, asbestos management services and general health and safety training.
Colin Sadler, director of LRMS, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming someone of Alex’s calibre to the team and are confident he will help us to deliver on both our core values and our ambitious growth plans.”
