Brightstar announces move into new customer contact centre in Crewe
Brightstar - the global leader of end-to-end device lifecycle management solutions and device protection provider - has today announced it will be opening a new customer contact centre in Crewe, Cheshire. The new location is part of Brightstar’s £50M investment into the UK and will provide a dedicated hub for excellence in customer service and a platform for growth for the next decade.
Brightstar is now the world’s fastest growing device protection company and the new location will be the home to over 120 customer service agents.
The new contact centre will be located at Orbit Development’s Gawsworth House at Crewe Business Park. As well as benefiting from excellent road and rail links the business park is one of the first ecological parks of its kind in the UK. Fit-out works on-site – 12,000sq ft on the ground and first floors - will begin immediately to meet the company’s global standards and be ready for operations to start from April.
Brightstar’s unique portfolio supports some of the biggest brands in mobile and financial services, including trade-in, insurance, technical support, accessories management and reverse logistics.
Today’s news follows the announcement last year of significant investment into Crewe, including a new technology enabled Advanced Fulfilment Centre comprising of two purpose-built units in Crewe Commercial Park.

Brightstar has a proven track record for enhancing NPS and customer satisfaction and I’m thrilled that our new contact centre will enable us to become the first-choice device protection service provider in the UK,” said Gerry O’Keeffe, Brightstar Executive Vice President.
Paul McLeman, Leasing Director at Orbit Developments, said: “We have worked very closely with Brightstar in recent months to ensure they have a fit-for-purpose space for this important centre. We are delighted to be playing our part in further cementing the firm’s relationship with Crewe and its enduring contribution to the local economy.”
Andy Butler, Director at Legat Owen chartered surveyors, who helped secure the deal for all parties, added: “The occupational market is showing great resilience in Crewe and the wider south Cheshire area thanks to businesses such as Brightstar. We are proud to be involved in the deal, which will bring further investment and job opportunities to the area.”
Today’s news follows the announcement last week of Brightstar’s acquisition of UK-based LucidCX, a specialist provider of premier customer service management software and services.
