David Wilson Homes contributes £3.6m to Sheffield with brand new Oughtibridge Valley development

Sheffield is set for investment of over £3.6 million thanks to new housing development, Oughtibridge Valley, by David Wilson Homes which launched this week.

As part of the development, David Wilson Homes has contributed over £155,000 to Sheffield Council as part of the Community Infrastructure Levy, which will be used by the council and go toward infrastructure and development that will benefit the city of Sheffield. The home builder has also committed over £1million to education facilities within the area, to provide additional primary and secondary school places, that further cement Oughtibridge as a wonderful area for growing families.

A £5,000 Traffic Regulation Order contribution will also fund the reduction of speed limits in the area, if appropriate, and a £20,000 bus stop contribution and £700,000 contribution to pedestrian connectivity, which will deliver new and improved pedestrian and cycle connections, will ensure the safety of residents and accessibility to the development and its surrounding amenities.

David Wilson Homes has also committed £1.75million to it’s affordable housing scheme, which is designed to make it easier for prospective buyers who couldn’t previously afford to buy to get on the property ladder.

David Coe, Land and Development Director at David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West commented: “We’re delighted to be supporting the community in Sheffield through contributions made as a result of our brand new Oughtibridge Valley development.

We’re really looking forward to seeing the reception the new development receives from potential homebuyers in the area. David Wilson Homes is dedicated to creating quality homes, to help even more families find their perfect home. We would encourage those looking for their forever home to book an appointment with our very helpful Sales Teams to get all the information they need!“

Oughtibridge Valley, which launched this month, will be a stunning collection of three and four bedroom homes, set in the desirable location of Oughtibridge and combines countryside charm with city connections, making it an ideal choice for families, professionals, locals and commuters alike.
