CPP secures major letting at Meridian Business Park, Leicester
Property consultants Commercial Property Partners (CPP) have facilitated a new letting on behalf of retained clients on a 42,498 sq. ft warehouse facility located on one of Leicester’s most popular business parks.
CPP secured the tenancy agreement at Centurion Way, Meridian Business Park with Ridgway Machines, a well-established Leicester based engineering company who identified a requirement for additional space having secured a number of new contracts.
Ridgway are a leading manufacturer of precision taping and winding machines, with over 95 years engineering experience. Their machines are widely used for manufacturing electrical coils, cable and conductors, and to manufacture Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipe (RTP) for oil and gas pipelines.
The long term lease with Ridgway was agreed swiftly after brining the building to the market, and the deal helps see a long established Leicester based engineering firm continue to grow within the city.
Commenting on the move, Stephen Hunt, CEO of Ridgway Machines said: “The business has seen a sudden expansion following new contracts, and further recruitment as a result.
“Meridian Business Park provides the ideal new location for Ridgway Machines, allowing us to expand within our heartland and continue to provide best in class service for our valued customers”
The unit comprises a modern self-contained warehouse with a steel portal frame construction, benefitting from 6 ground level loading doors and a modern, interconnected two-storey office block.
In addition, the location, with occupiers including Royal Mail, Bunzl, FedEx, Toyota Material Handling, BPW Limited and Sytner Group, offers immediate adjacency to Junction 21 of the M1 motorway and its interchange with the M69.
Stuart Waite, Director at CPP, said: “We are delighted to have leased this building at Centurion Way to a well-established, reputable manufacturing business.
“Ridgway’s long-term commitment to the site represents a positive outcome for my client, and indeed the local economy.
“The facilities offered will support Ridgway’s growth over the next few years and we wish them all the best .”
CPP and Avison Young acted as joint agents on the instruction.
