Yorkshire pudding pie maker set to double headcount with £150k investment

A Yorkshire pie maker has announced that it is aiming for growth following a £150k investment.

The Yorkshire Pudding Pie Company, based in Malton, is aiming to complete a new manufacturing facility and double its workforce with the funding.

The £150k investment included £50k from NPIF – BEF & FFE Microfinance, part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund, and £100k invested directly by BEF.

The company is best known for hand crafting Puddies, a type of pie made with Yorkshire pudding instead of pastry.

The completion of the manufacturing facility will help the business to meet growing demand from online customers, supermarkets and independent retailers.
