Connected Health Specialist Wellbeing Software Announces New Strategic Hires

Connected healthcare specialist Wellbeing Software has made three specialist appointments to strengthen its maternity and pathology services and enhance its cybersecurity posture. Wai To has joined the company as Senior Cyber Security Analyst while Emma Price and Sally Preece join as Digital Midwife and Bio-Medical Scientist.

The last twelve months have highlighted the significant impact that digital healthcare solutions have had in supporting the NHS, not only in the fight against COVID-19 but also to maintain routine non-urgent services. The unexpected reliance on health tech has created evolving cyber threats, which must be mitigated in order to avoid damaging attacks on the health service.

Wai To will be responsible for Wellbeing Software’s security roadmap, sourcing and enhancing solutions to reduce risks and provide complete protection for patient data. He will be assisting with the development and deployment of new security platforms, contributing to automation, improvement, and innovation of offensive and defensive cyber security activities.

Emma Price joined the company as Digital Midwife to enhance the experience of Euroking, Wellbeing’s maternity information system which provides healthcare professionals with easy access to medical records and information relating to pregnancy. In her role, Emma will draw upon her clinical background to support customers and product development, helping align future enhancements with changes to NHS guidance for maternity services.

Sally Preece has been appointed as Bio-Medical Scientist to support the delivery of Wellbeing’s laboratory information system, EVOLUTION. She brings a wealth of experience to the role and will play a central figure in the integration of diagnostic services. She previously specialised in haematology and has now introduced microbiology. The pathology team has grown quickly over the last few months after Wellbeing expanded into new specialities following its acquisition by the Citadel Group.

Chris Yeowart, Director at Wellbeing Software said: “Investing in good people is crucial to the continued growth and development of Wellbeing Software. We are committed to the enhancing our solutions to help ease the pressure on the NHS as a result of the pandemic. We are very happy to have appointed these three key hires who will help us reach our goals.”
