Inc & Co Prepares for Lockdown Easing With New London Office
Business group, Inc & Co, is expanding out from its Manchester base with a new office in the heart of London. Launching just in time for the Government’s COVID-19 restrictions to begin easing from April 12th, the London presence will enable Inc & Co to better support it’s vast businesses portfolio across the capital as they embark upon their vital journeys to recovery.
Following on from the recent acquisition of a number of London-based brands, including accessories firm KNOMO London and sustainable high street eatery Chop’d under Inc & Co’s latest division, Inc Retail, the collaborative expansion will see a dedicated HR and people team based in the centre of the city. The team will support around 240 members of the staff across the UK - an estimated 120 of them in the south - focusing exclusively on developing resilient workplace cultures, personal development and training, and building people-centric strategies for the future.
Lynne Makinson-Walsh, Head of People at Inc & Co, says, “As we grow, and with the new acquisitions of KNOMO London and Chop’d, there has been a definite need for us to build a fully in-house people team to create a presence in London, which will grow with our companies. We are keen to be there to offer support, helping to build teams, develop new managers, and enable teams to grow in a way that empowers them to deliver great things. We believe that we’re all stronger together, and right now, we all need a little extra strength as we enter this critical period of recovery.”
People-centricity is rapidly emerging as a key strategy for businesses as they resume operations following months of Government-mandated closures. Inc & Co’s new presence in the heart of the capital is expected to help London businesses organise and prepare for the new normal at employee level, driving change from the ground up. This can help businesses to build resilient cultures, reskill and upskill for post-pandemic operations, and ensure firms have the foundations they need to thrive.
