New target operating model leads to wave of promotions at Entec Si
Birmingham-based business change consultancy, Entec Si, has announced that 30 percent of the business are being promoted as part of its transition to a new target operating model. The move to a consultancy structure will enable the business to strengthen its cross-sector service offering, while helping to accelerate the development of its people.
While Entec Si already had a strong long-term growth strategy in place, the pandemic has allowed it to focus on the areas that worked well for the business, as well as identify opportunities for development. The new target operating model will formalise these positive changes, creating greater flexibility for its people and clients alike.
Rather than focusing on specialisms, such as business analysis, the Entec Si team will now be made up of seven different levels of consultants. Although its people will still have specialist areas of expertise, they will now receive training in a wider variety of consultancy skills, ensuring every team member can support clients on all aspects of a project.
To align with the new structure, people’s roles have been reviewed in line with their experience and skill level. For nearly a third of the business, seven team members, this has effectively led to a promotion. Those moving into new roles include: Sofia Caputo, Eilis Garton-Marrows, Charlotte Stanyer, Ben Brown, Pete Britten, Tim Powlson and Sue Johnson-Gregory.
Entec Si recognises that a business’ growth stems from the development of its people, a message it promotes to all of its clients. By practicing what it preaches when it comes to delivering positive change, it has started its evolution into an even more adaptable and progressive consultancy.
Eman Al-Hillawi, co-founder and director of Entec Si, said: “Our previous operating model was based on competencies and skills, whereas it now has a strong people development focus. This will enable our people to diversify their talents, while focusing on areas that interest them, ensuring our clients receive the best possible service.
“The realignment of roles during this process has highlighted just how much the team has progressed throughout the last year, and it’s great to be able to recognise and reward this.”
Charlotte Stanyer, newly promoted to assistant consultant at Entec Si, said: “I’ve felt informed and supported during the company’s transition into the new target operating model. It is expanding the field of opportunity for all individuals at Entec Si, and I greatly look forward to adding to my consultancy toolkit by broadening my skills across specialisms and tailoring my own development to my strengths and interests.”
