"Ambitious" expansion plans revealed as London estate agent ventures outside of capital
A London estate agency has announced “ambitious” expansion plans as it sets out to create new northern hubs.
Agent & Homes, which was launched three years ago in Notting Hill, has revealed plans to expand both within London and outside of it, with new hubs planned for Manchester and Brighton.
The agency, which describes itself as ‘hybrid’, currently employs more than 40 agents, and is aiming to have an agent operating in every London postcode.
This is on top of the company’s plans to become a ‘Northern Powerhouse’.
Rollo Miles, founder of Agent & Homes, commented: “The pandemic has changed people’s living requirements, with many people moving around the country.
“There is no reason for agents to be geo-constrained and our offering provides them with everything they need to operate successfully from any location.”
As part of the expansion, the company is launching a focused recruitment drive.
Rav Sagoo, a partner at the firm, said: “The high street loses so many great agents who feel boxed in by micromanagement.
“When you are forced on a daily telephone conference call with some middle management pen pushers to talk viewing numbers and how many phone calls you have made, is this really productive?
“Today’s public don’t want robots. They want a story, they want service and they want to understand who they are working with and why.”
