Work starts on £3.8m cricket and rugby training facility in Ealing

Work has begun on the construction of a new multi-million pound sports training facility in London.

Collinson Construction has announced that it has commenced work on a new £3.8m training facility at Trailfinders Sports Club in West Ealing.

The new centre, which will span 3,184 sq metres, will feature a junior rugby and football pitch and three indoor cricket lanes, serving Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club and Ealing Trailfinders Cricket Club.

The project, which will also include extra buildings for changing facilities and office space, is expected to be completed in October this year.

The new training facility at Trailfinders Sports Club is expected to be completed in October 2021.

Shaun Justice, of Trailfinders Sports Club, commented: “Trailfinders Sports Club is hugely excited about the multi-sport indoor facility and the increased local community school and club usage it will attract on an already thriving site.

“This development will further strengthen Trailfinders Sports Club as one of the leading sports facilities in the South of England.”

Robert Duxbury, managing director at Collinson Construction, said: “We’re incredibly proud to have been chosen to deliver this prestigious project for Trailfinders which will deliver world class facilities to the benefit of both the club and the local community.

“We’re bringing together our three construction specialisms by integrating modular, tensile and traditional building techniques to bring this high-performance project to life.

“It means we’re able to tailor construction solutions to each of the training facility’s buildings and meet the club’s needs in the most time and cost-efficient way possible.”
