Cramlington tool manufacturer completes £2m HQ refurbishment following acquisition
A North East tool manufacturer has revealed a “substantial” £2m facility upgrade following its acquisition last year.
HTL, headquartered in Cramlington, has seen its base refurbished following a £2m investment from new owner Enerpac Tool Group.
The facility, which will operate as Enerpac Tool Group’s Bolting Centre of Excellence, will see Enerpac’s existing team move in with HTL Group on Nelson Park Industrial Estate.
The investment at the Cramlington base has been focused on manufacturing automation, adding computer-controlled CNC milling machines, alongside other manufacturing machines.
The company said: “With investment comes design engineering and manufacturing excellence.
“The new state-of-the-art Engineering and Design offices are equipped with 3D printers and an Electric Static Discharge Laboratory.
“The Engineering Research and Development Laboratory will provide engineers with invaluable knowledge and insight that leads to innovations and continuous product development.
“Becoming the Bolting Centre of Excellence means that Enerpac and HTL Group will be able to provide customers with the most up-to-date bolting technologies that have been designed and manufactured in the North East of England.”
