Manchester's Business Networking Returns as Curry Club Kicks Off

The Curry Club, an established networking service, is helping business professionals in Manchester get reconnected as it hosts its first in-person event since the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event, which takes place at Asha’s Indian Restaurant on June 24 and 12.00pm to 2.30pm is for business leaders, offering a relaxed social format for business professionals to network.

The Curry Club was established forty-seven years ago by three Mancunian banking professionals who decided that a monthly networking event with peers over a curry and a beer was an excellent idea, fostering a relaxed approach to business networking.

Since its formation, the Curry Club has gone from strength to strength hosting more than 1,000 events nationwide and using its platform to helping thousands of businesses connect.

Steve Kettle, founder of the Curry Club, said: “I’m delighted that we are bringing in-person networking back to Manchester for the very first time since the pandemic.

“The Curry Club was born in Manchester so it only seems right that our first physical event is back where it all started 47 years ago. We can’t wait to welcome businesses back to the networking scene and we’re looking forward to offering a platform where professionals can sought free advice in a relaxed format.”

When the United Kingdom was struck down with the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, the Curry Club knew the world of networking was in for a change. With the restrictions on physical social interaction, meeting face-to-face every month in Indian restaurants was out of the question and so the Curry Club adapted, bringing online networking sessions to hundreds of UK businesses, providing much needed support and advice in a time of need.

Steve Kettle continued: “The pandemic brought up several barriers, hurdles and challenges for businesses nationwide, we were proud to be there for business leaders in a time of need but now we’re delighted to be beginning this new chapter in networking with the return of physical Curry Clubs.”

The event is sponsored by a host of local businesses including Cos Bookkeeping, Ralli Solicitors, EK Williams, The Business Debt Advisor and Our Marketing Team.
