Yorkshire IT firm secures nearly £1m for site purchase in move towards Net Zero
A Yorkshire IT disposal company has announced that it has secured nearly £1m in funding to drive its green ambitions.
S2S Electronics Limited, based in Rotherham, has received £975k of funding from NatWest to purchase its currently leased premises in Rotherham.
The company, based at Farfield Industrial Park, moved to the 25,000 sq ft site two years ago.
The purchase of the site is part of the company’s plans to create a Net Zero business by 2050, and will facilitate the creation of 10 new jobs.
Alan Dukinfield, director at S2S Electronics, commented: “Since the change in management eight years ago, S2S has successfully built on its profits year on year.
“These increased funds have allowed us to move forward and work towards our climate change agenda.
“S2S Electronics is pleased to announce it will be pledging its commitment in the race to net zero carbon emissions, and the support from NatWest will allow us to make the necessary steps to get there.”
Paul McCarron, senior relationship manager at NatWest, said: “NatWest have established a long-term relationship with S2S. Initially, supporting the current management team at S2S to purchase the majority share of the business in 2006.
“Over the last seven years, S2S have seen growth in profits cumulatively. This, in addition to our latest round of funding, will allow the business to enhance its strong climate credentials in its race to zero carbon emissions.”
