Retailer prepares for 8th store launch in two months

After opening seven new stores in just three weeks, one of the UK’s fastest-growing retailers is now preparing to unveil its latest outlet, in Catford.

Flooring Superstore will add the town to its list of locations when it opens a new store on Saturday 19th June.

The retailer is investing £150,000 in the 5,790 square foot store on the Catford Hill Retail Park, which will create four new sales representative roles for local people.

This will be the 8th store launched by Flooring Superstore since non-essential retail was permitted to re-open from 12th April.

Catford will also become the retailer’s fifth store in London, with outlets in Brent Cross, Romford, Croydon, and Orpington having opened in the last 12 months.

Flooring Superstore Regional Manager Ian Robinson said: “We’re delighted to have been able to bring Flooring Superstore to Catford.

“It’s a fantastic location for us given the recent regeneration plans unveiled for the area and with Transport for London proposing to extend the Bakerloo Line through Catford, which would make it an even more attractive areas for commuters.

“By the middle of 2020 we had no stores in London and now, with Catford, we will have five and like with the others, we are looking forward to making our own contribution to the local retail economy throughout the rest of 2021 and beyond.”

Shoppers visiting Flooring Superstore in Catford will have access to an unrivalled range of carpets but also a huge choice of other flooring, such as vinyl, laminate, real wood, luxury vinyl tiles, EvoCore and the UK’s largest selection of artificial grass.

As part of its corporate social responsibility programme, Flooring Superstore will be reaching out to local charities, voluntary organisations, or other good causes to see if they would benefit from donations of flooring for a particular project.

Ian adds: “It’s something we have always do when we open a new store in an area and is our own little way of giving something back to the local communities who support our stores, so we would be delighted to hear from groups in Catford.”
